FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is cosmetic tattooing permanent?
Yes, although the pigment in the skin is expected to fade and change over time, some of that pigment will likely stay in the skin (either visible to the naked eye or not).
WILL IT HURT?
For brows, I use a topical anesthetic that contains lidocaine which eliminates any discomfort for most people. If you are sensitive to pain or allergic to anesthetics, please let me know ahead of time.
For scalp, I tend not to use the anesthetic but if the procedure is too uncomfortable for you, I can use it.

How long will the tattoo last?
Color retention depends on many factors and cannot be guaranteed. The following will affect retention: skin type, lifestyle, exposure to sun, aftercare adherence, skincare treatments, general health, medication plus many other factors not listed all contribute.
Why do I need a follow-up appointment or a refresher appointment?
A follow-up appointment is usually required to reinforce pigment retention as well as address any color or shape issues for optimal satisfaction. The tattoo will be considerably lighter after healing than right after the procedure.
A refresher appointment is encouraged to keep your investment fresh and beautiful. Some people will request this sooner than others - less than a year or more later, all personal preference. We can discuss what is best for you during a consultation or procedure.

Is it safe?
Yes. I use only sterilized single use needles and single use products for each procedure. I update my Blood Borne Pathogens certification yearly, follow all the appropriate guidelines for disinfection, and have been inspected and approved by my local health authority, Fraser Health.
Can I bring my child or pet to my appointment?
Children are not allowed due to the nature of the procedure - absolute concentration is required. Pets are not allowed due to health regulations and the necessity for my space to remain as clean as possible (service animals excluded, of course).
I have an event or trip that I want to look flawless for. How far in advance should I book my appointment?
For brows, please book at least 2 months minimum ahead.
For scalp micropigmentation, please allow 4 weeks ahead.
For tattoo removal, please allow for 2 weeks minimum.
These times are only estimates and will vary, please contact me and we can get more specific!
